Mobility can be impaired in numerous ways in old age, and our job at Four Seasons Senior Living is getting our residents the stimulation, activity, and exercise they need to have fuller and more satisfying days. In addition, we keep our residents’ health and safety at the forefront when considering how much time they spend in their wheelchair or positioned in bed. Many of our residents exclusively use wheelchairs for mobility in the homes, and some residents are bed bound for the majority of each day. How do we make their day active, full, and hazard-free?
Our trained caregivers begin each day by asking the resident which activities they would like to participate. Once the caregiver understands the resident’s desired schedule, then each caregiver can maintain stimulating activities and tasks throughout the day. Four Seasons caregivers understand how important mobility and variety have in a well-rounded day, and we make sure our residents have an active role in making their day enjoyable.
